Jungle Cruise will close for refurbishment on August 26, reopening on October 16, 2024. The ride will have an overnight transformation into Jingle Cruise, taking place the night of November 1 and reopening as Jingle Cruise on November 2, 2024.

Disney Villains Show: Opening in the summer of 2025
Disney has revealed that The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will officially replace Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Update on “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” As we continue to look forward to “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure," at Disney’s Hollywood Studios we are taking the next steps and filing permits for an all-new marquee. Work on the exterior of the building will begin soon, in preparation for the premiere of this fully reimagined show in summer 2025. We look forward to sharing more details on this exciting new experience soon.
Also opening that summer is a new Disney Villains stage show, which will take the place of the now-permanently closed Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug: Closing TBD, new Zootopia opening winter 2025

TriceraTop Spin: Closing January 13, 2025
Dino-Rama Area: Closing January 13, 2025
BOLO for It’s Tough to Be a Bug to close at some point for its eventual reimagining to “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” which will be opening in its place in winter 2025. This was originally announced at the 2023 Destination D23, with a date announced at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Fan Event. Additionally, a new Indiana Jones ride will be coming in place of DINOSAUR in 2027. The first phase of construction on the new land will begin on January 13, 2025, when Dino-Rama closes (including Fossil Fun Games, TriceraTop Spin, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures). For now, the remainder of DinoLand, U.S.A. will remain open.
DinoLand U.S.A. Impacts Begin Jan. 13
Work on Tropical Americas continues with the installation of progress walls at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Jan. 13. The last day of operations for TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will be Jan. 12. During this time, DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites will remain open.
The new Tropical Americas land will open in 2027.
EPCOT Refurbishments and Closures
Test Track: Closed June 17, 2024 for reimagining, opening 2025
Frozen Ever After: November 2nd to November 6th, 2024
¡Celebración Encanto!: Now open through winter 2025
Test Track is currently under construction, with a refurbishment planned to give it a reimagined look, opening sometime in 2025. While originally intended to close in September 2024, ¡Celebración Encanto! has been extended through Winter 2025.
Water Park Refurbishments and Closures
Blizzard Beach: Reopening November 4, 2024
Typhoon Lagoon: Closing November 4, 2024
Each year, Disney World’s two water parks alternate openings so the other can receive planned refurbishments. Blizzard Beach will reopen on November 4, 2024, with Typhoon Lagoon closing for the season that same day.

Resort Refurbishments: Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas are currently undergoing refurbishment, with a redesigned lobby and rooms. Guests may hear or see construction, though not between dusk and 9 AM.

Barbados Leisure Pool: Closed from July 29 through end of September 2024

New Cabins Opened: July 1, 2024, with more opening in phases through 2025
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Resort Refurbishments: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently undergoing refurbishment, with a redesigned lobby and rooms. Guests may hear or see construction, though not between dusk and 9 AM.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Convention Center: Unavailable from summer 2025 to fall 2025
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Island Tower: Opening December 17, 2024. Currently, construction is underway on a new DVC tower between the Polynesian and the Wedding Pavilion at the neighboring Grand Floridian. Guests may hear or see construction, though not between dusk and 9 AM.
Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter
Room Refurbishments: From May 2024 to November 2024, some guest rooms will be under refurbishment.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Boulder Ridge Villas: Exterior refurbishment will be done from April through December 2024, so guests may see construction during this time.
Disney World Transportation Refurbishments and Closures
None are planned as of fall 2024

These attractions and rides usually close seasonally at Disneyland for refurbishments and holiday overlays. The estimated dates on this Disneyland refurbishment schedule are based on past ride closures. We'll always post the specific dates when we receive them under Disneyland ride refurbishments.
Grizzly River Run: Usually closes early January through February or March for seasonal refurbishment.
Haunted Mansion: Usually closes late August for holiday overlay installation and reopens September; closes early January for holiday overlay removal and reopens mid-January.
